The placement at MITM is really good and appreciable, if you are in CS and IT you get placed easily if you do not have any of the back lock and you have skills you will surely get placed.
Now, the college has upgraded to university. So, number of companies coming for placements are more as compared to previous years but the average package is around 4-4.5 Lakhs and around 80-90% of CS/IT student get placed in the following companies.
Major recruiters include TCS, Cognizant, CSC, Amdocs, MuSigma, etc. The jobs offered to the students are mostly in the computer science field, even to the mechanical students. Placements for the year 2016 we

Hello Rahul,
It's great indeed to know your dream of becoming an engineer. Good. Lateral entries in 2nd year of engineering are normally restricted by concerned states only to students from that state. Also if you score good, then you will have better chances.

Yes, you are eligible for IIM Indore. Percentile required is relative to score as high as possible. For exact cutoff you can also check out the admission tab on IIM, Indore's website.
