Shree Devi Institute of Technology offers MBA, MCA, BTech, and MTech courses. The basic eligibility criteria for each course require the student to have a minimum of 45% in the previous qualification. Along with this, the student needs to have a minimum valid score in KMAT, GATE, or KCET for admission to MBA/MCA, MTech, and BTech, respectively.

The minimum eligibility criteria for B.E/B.Tech require the candidate to qualify 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and obtain at least 45% (40% in case of Reserved Category) marks along with a valid rank earned in KCET, COMEDK UGET, or JEE Main.

The institutes will admit candidates into the BE/B.Tech programs through the counseling process run by the Karnataka Examinations Authority, COMEDK or on direct basis to management quota seats through the Institute's Admission Office. In order to be considered eligible for admission into M.Tech programs, a candidate must have completed an undergraduate degree in B.Tech with at least 50% marks and must have appeared for GATE. 

With an acceptance rate of 86%, SJU is a university that follows easy selection criteria during admissions. This does not mean the university accepts all the students applying for different programs. The selection is based on academic performance, GPA, English language requirements, standardized test scores, and many more. Some of the programs (Pharmaceutical & Healthcare Marketing) at St. Joseph University even demand an experience of 4-5 years. Students must fulfill the eligibility criteria to enroll in any programme at SJU University also students with average performance can be considered if they have relevant experience and have taken part in extracurricular activities.

Shree Devi Institute of Technology offers scholarships to the poor, as well as merit to catch the activated deserving students. Meritorious scholarships are provided to those students who have obtained a rank of 2000 or above in KCET, COMEDK, or JEE Main and free from 20 to 50% of fees10th up with an excellent academic record.

For the economically weaker section, the applicant has to produce proof of income and have to go through the process of checking eligibility. The institute also coordinates scholarships provided by the government, like Karnataka's Post-Matric Scholarships, which also cover SC/ST/OBC or minority students, which can make cut costs highly.

Shree Devi Institute of Technology has a vibrant extracurricular and club scene for students in development. Technical clubs comprising robotics, coding, and IoT societies organize hackathons, tech symposiums, and project competitions for innovation. Cultural clubs set up annual fests, for instance, Shree Devi Sambhram, which put together dances, music, and drama events in order to participate in regional participation.

All the above sports facilities meet the needs of cricket, basketball, volleyball, and indoor games, and are held on a regular basis for competitions with other colleges.
