In 2009, the Central University of Kerala (CUK) was founded. The institution is divided into three campuses, each housing eleven schools and twenty departments. Students at CU Kerala have access to a large selection of undergraduate and graduate courses. Central University of Kerala - Trivandrum Campus offers a lot of undergraduate and postgraduate course. The post graduate courses have been more famous in the university and the number of students taking admissions are way more than undergraduates. Comparing the NIRF data roughly indicates that in 2022-2023, PG students were 1000 students however for UG, students were around 100. PG courses offered by the University are MA, Med, Msc, MBA, M.Com in different specifications.

Statistics shows that placement of the University shows a very good graph however Universities all over the world want to give 100% placement to their students. But due to various factors, it is somehow not achieved by the University yet but their placement ratio is comparatively growing at good rate. As per NIRF report 2023, 912 students out of 1951 graduating students were placed during the 2023 placement drive. Reputed IT companies like Wipro, TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, the big 4 (Deloitte, EY, PWC, and KPMG), etc., are some of the Kerala University top recruiters.

Candidates who have passed Class 12th from a recognised board with at least 50% aggregate marks are eligible and can apply for Central University of Kerala. Students must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification purposes.
