No, direct admission is not valid at St. Thomas College of Engineering and Technology, Chengannoor. In order to get admission to the UG course (BTech) at the college, candidates must qualify for KEAM exam. The Kerala Engineering, Architecture, and Medical Entrance Exam (KEAM) is a common admission process for admission to various UG courses offered at Kerala's colleges. 

Aspirants need to apply and appear for the exam and participate in the centralised counselling process (CAP) for the final seat allotment.

For admission to a full-time four-year BTech course, candidates are required to fulfil the basic eligibility requirements as per AKTU norms. Those who are willing to get admission to this course must pass Class 12 with 45% aggregate in Physics and Mathematics as main subjects and Chemistry as optional subjects from a recognised board.
