There are about 15 top BTech colleges in Madurai. Of these, 14 are private colleges and 1 is government college. Some of the popular colleges include Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Velammal College of Engineering and Technology, Anna University - Madurai Regional Campus, SRM Madurai College for Engineering and Technology, etc.
Admission to these colleges will be based on merit ans entrance based like IMUCET.

The semester exam results were declared at SRM Madurai College for Engineering, and Technology was a few weeks after the sem exam completed, like 4 to 6 weeks after the sem exams are completed, mostly in the middle of the next sem course before the sem results are released in online mode, and the paper is also tough.

Thiagarajar college engineering(TCE) is a govt aided institution and affailiated to Anna university and situated in Madurai.
The college is accredited with A grade by NAAC and has been ranked 18th NIRF 2023 rankings among tops colleges india.
