Hey, If I were to talk about the placement season for the 2016-18 batch, I would say it was very good and out of 120, almost 80-85 students have got placed with others opting for options like placement from outside, family business or entrepreneurship. The average package offered was INR. 7 LPA - INR. 8 LPA. The thing to keep in mind while looking at these placement statistics is that 2 major changes occurred during this year i.e. demonetization and GST Reforms. Hence, placement statistics are somewhat less than the previous year, but this was the case with almost every institute even the elite ones. Rest assured the faculty here is top notch one and a great learning experience.

Business Analytics is a field of study involving application of data analytics methods to business problems.
Business Analytics, requires a creative energy. This field incorporates business acumen with the underlying data to develop solutions.
Decision Sciences is a peer-reviewed academic journal covering research about decision making within the boundaries of an organization, as well as decisions involving inter-firm coordination. Decision science seems to be quite structured and outcomes are based on calculations.
So in all, Business Analytics is more database entry/construction, where-as decision science is more mathematical modelling. Also of note, is a Master's degree in decision sciences usually necessitates (for employment) a MS or PhD in Statistics.
