Yes you will very easily be able to book a berth in any branch of your choice in NIT Rourkela with this rank. Infact, you can probably aim for better institutes like NIT Surathkal or NIT Trichy or NIT Warangal.

Xavier University is the umbrella organization of which XIMB is a part. Earlier all management programs were under XIMB. Now with Xavier University (XUB), the BM, HRM, and RM programs have been split, also a new program sustainability management (SM) has been added. The major advantage is that earlier, people used to get a PGDM degree but as it is a university now, the students get an MBA degree. As far as faculties are concerned, there is no difference. Also, there is no difference in the campus culture. Placement of BM and HRM is done by the placement committee which has both BM and HRM students.

Apart from doing graduation and MBA you should do one year diploma programme in "entrepreneurship and business management" from Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India. Here you will learn how to set up your own industry. The programme is in distance mode and duration of the course is one year. For more information please login to:- www.ediindia.org Best of luck.
