RIMT University employs the CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) system to assess a student's overall academic performance. The CGPA is determined by averaging the grade points obtained by a student in all subjects, excluding the sixth (additional) subject, during a given academic term. The CGPA is calculated using the formula: sum of the total SGPA in all semesters divided by the total number of credit hours.
Converting CGPA to a percentage involves using the formula '(CGPA - X)*10', where X falls within the range of 0.5 to 1. Students have the option to utilise online CGPA calculators to determine their CGPA and corresponding percent

Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one can not afford to score less than this. CGPA calculation is a little bit complicated here because they never reveal how much a student achieve the marks, but they give a sign that indicates the marks like
| Shown value | Actual value |
| A+ | 9 |
| A | 8 |
| B+ | 7 |
| B | 6 |
| c | 5 |
| p | 4 |
| f | 0 |
and they give your marks in the form of this code and then they calculate your CGPA as (shown value of total subjects
* actual value of that key)/no of subjects
