In my opinion, IIT BHU is better for mechanical engineering then IIT-Hyderabad because IIT BHU provides good quality of mechanical faculty members and good course curriculum.

Yes, electrical engineering is one of the core branches of engineering. If you want to pursue electrical engineering after 10th standard, 3 years' long Diploma programme will be of help to you.

Both are great institutions. But if I were in your position I would chose IIT, Madras because of its ranking and teaching and much more. I don't know much about IIT, Hyderabad. Good luck.

No, PhD in Civil Engineering in Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad is a full time course hence you cannot pursue through distance learning. Interested candidates can apply online/ offline with required information.

For computer science branch, placements are quite good and companies compete to choose the candidates with good packages. Almost 95% of got placed in some or the other companies some in electronics and some in software and rest moved for higher studies.
