Students have to meet the VIT Vellore course eligibility to get admission in the university. The requirements and minimum percentage may change depending on the programme and specialisation. The common eligibility however, is as below:
- VIT Vellore UG eligibility - Class 12 with required subjects from a recognised board
- VIT Vellore PG eligibility - UG degree in relevant field from a recognised university

VITEEE exam has 125 questions in total. All questions are objective-type and incorrect responses include negative marking. Candidates have to complete their exam in 2 hours and 30 minutes. The section-wise distribution of questions can be checked below -

No, VIT and VITEEE are entirely different. VIT represents the institution, which is otherwise called as Vellore Institute of Technology. On the other hand, VITEEE is the undergraduate engineering entrance exam VIT conducts. The full form of VITEEE stands for Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination.

Vellore Institute of Technology has started VITEEE registration process. The last date to submit application form is March 31, 2026. Candidates who want to apply must check their eligibility first. Also, it must be noted that no late submission of form is accepted.

The college premises has strict laws against the student found guilty of any act such as abusing, assaulting, threatening, teasing and embarrassment to new students, among others.

To apply for the VIT LLB courses through the VITLEE 2026 exam, you must meet certain rules set by VIT School of Law (VITSOL) Chennai.
- You should have passed Class 12 or an equivalent exam from a recognised board.
- A minimum of 60% marks in your qualifying exam is usually required (for SC/ST and some reserved categories, relaxation may apply).
- You must have studied subjects suitable for law courses.
- Candidates appearing for their final exams in 2026 can also apply for the VITLEE application form 2026.
These conditions apply for both BA LLB (Hons.) and BBA LLB (Hons.) programs under the VIT law application process.
