With a rank of 5023 in the VIT Integrated M.Tech entrance exam, securing a seat in the CSE Data Science programme at VIT Vellore is possible, though competitive. Admission depends on factors like rank, programme availability, and campus preference. Historically, candidates with ranks around 5,000 have been able to secure seats in integrated M.Tech courses. The cutoff rank varies each year based on the number of applicants and available seats. It's essential to participate in the counseling process to explore your chances and confirm the availability of seats in the desired program.

VIT Vellore doesn't provide any specific B.Tech degree in purely Robotics and Automation. However, the college does have a B.Tech programme in Mechatronics and Automation, where parts of its curriculum relate to robotics and automation. The four-year undergraduate course has mechanical engineering, electronics, and computer Science amalgamated. Further, VIT Chennai has a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering with a specialisation in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics the university is offering more, about these two specializations. You have got a descent rank but it would not be sufficient to fetch you a integrated Mtech seat under category 1 or 2 at Vellore campus of VIT. You can possibly get it in 3rd category but chances of it are slim as seats are limited and mentioned course is most common choice in integrated program.

The best possible options are:

  1. Integrated CSE at Vellore
  2. Integrated CSE with specialisation in Data Science at Vellore
  3. Integrated CSE at Chennai (category 2)
  4. Integrated CSE with specialisation in business system at Chennai (Category 2)

Hope it helps!

And the average fees paid by the individual for the overall course would be between 5 to 8 lakh. If you have secured CSE at VIT Vellore and a COMEDK rank of 654, then both options are strong, but your choice depends on your priorities. VIT Vellore is a highly reputed private institution with excellent infrastructure, industry connections, and higher placement opportunities, especially in CSE. However, if one would rather be studying in Bangalore, then RV College of Engineering and BMS College of Engineering are also of high standard with good reputations for CSE and stable placements. If location is of major concern, as are closeness to tech hotbeds, then go with RVCE or BMS; otherwise, take the solid all-round experience VIT prov
