The eligibility depends on the type of course that you wish to pursue, the details of some courses is stated below:
Diploma Class 10th pass from a recognised board with minimum 40% marks.
Bachelors Degree: Class 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks.
Post-graduation degree: Bachelors degree from a recognised university with at least 45% marks.
Graduate & PG programs may also require you to appear in entrance exams such as NCHMCT, AIMA UGAT, E-CHAT, etc.

There are several short-term culinary certificates you can choose that will teach you cooking and classic cuisine basics. But, if you are truly passionate about the field you can go for a BA in culinary arts, which will give you kitchen skills as well as some management and hospitality knowledge. Some of these degrees even give you the opportunity to travel abroad and learn native cuisines.
I suggest thinking about what you want to gain from the course/ what job you're aiming for chef/in-flight chef, food writer, restaurant manager, etc. and then choose a suitable course.
