It offers attractive jobs like a quality controller, food inspector and production manager in both private as well as government organisations. Therefore a good degree is essential to establish yourself in this demanding profession. Following degree courses are available to pursue a career in food and technology:
For Graduation - You must have the Science stream at the 12th level to be eligible. Then you can pursue an undergraduate degree in any of the following courses-
Bachelor of Science in Food Technology which further has specialisations like
- B.Sc in Food Processing Technology
- B.Sc Food Science and Quality Control
- B.Sc (Hons. ) in Food Technology
- B.Sc (Hons. ) in Food Science and Technology
You can also go for B.Tech in Food Technology and food Science
Similarly you can do
-B.E. in Food Technology
-B.E. in Food Technology and Bio-Chemical Engineering
If you wish to study further then you can go for master's -
At Post Graduate level you can pursue a master of art in Food Nutrition
or
Master of Science such as:
M.Sc in Food Science and Technology

M.E in Food Technology
M.E in Processing and Food Engineering
or tech courses such as
