NEET UG is the accepted entrance exam for admission to the BDS course of DY Patil Dental College. Hence, to secure a seat, candidates must complete the NEET UG registration process. As of now, the NTA has not released the complete schedule for NEET UG 2025. The registration process will tentatively begin in the first week of March 2025. MDS at MAIDS, MAMC is a three-year programme. The maximum duration to complete the programme is five years. The course curriclulm is evenly spread over six semesters and it varies across the available MDS specialisations. It is designed to provide theoretical and practical knowledge to students in their preferred specialisations, through lectures, journal clubs, seminars, symposiums and regular postings in hospitals and clinics. The assessment includes theory, practical and clinical examinations, in addition to the viva-voce and pedagogy. 

During the last round of Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences MDS counselling, the closing ranks for MDS in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedies, MDS in Prosthodontics, Crown and bridge and MDS in Oral Medicine and Radiology were 1,  2, and 9, respectively, for the students belonging to the General (All-India) category.
