For students who are joining newly for the first year at Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology, I would say you must develop a good conversation skills, have a friendly relationship with the faculty members and your seniors. Seat reservations in Dr. Ambedkar Institute of technology is according to the government rules. Here, about 50 per cent of seats are reserved for KEA candidates, remaining to COMEDK and Management quota. The Karnataka candidates get the first preference as per government rules.

They offer various areas of improvement in life and an overall development of a student. The faculty people is friendly and encouraging in nature.

In Dr. Ambedkar Institute of technology, there is a separate hostel for boys and girls. For a four-sharing hostel room, they cost around 92-94k per year with attached bathroom in it. Without attached bathroom, they cost around 83k per year. For rooms with 3 sharing, it costs nearly one Lacs per year for a student. This includes everything from food, mattress and Wi-Fi, etc.

The admissions for B.E courses in Dr. Ambedkar Institute of technology is usually open during the June/July period of the academic year as soon as the results for various competitive examinations such as KCET COMEDK are released. Management seats are available much before that.

Dr. Ambedkar Institute of technology is good in courses such as Computer Science and Engineering, Information Science and engineering, Computer Science and business systems and Electronics and communication engineering. It offers a very good placement opportunities. Also, the college has well-equipped labs for computers and electronics.

A student can easily maintain not to fail in any internal exam as it is easy to score the passing marks. In case of a student fails, they are not allowed to take the semester examinations and can take the internal and semester examinations next year.

Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology takes an approved intake of student number every year. It is expected to be roughly around 900-950 for various B.E courses, with approximately 60 students in a classroom offering a good student-teacher ratio. This is all including the students from KEA, COMEDK and management seats. As it also offers various courses including M.Tech, Diploma, etc. They make sure that they take the approved intake of students only.

Sometimes it happens that you miss the internal examinations due to any health issues or other problems for that matter. It's okay to miss it once. Dr. AIT conducts an internal exam known as the 'Makeup Test' for those who have missed any of the internal examinations. Students can take that test in case they were absent.
