PSG offers a 2-year M.Sc in one specialization applied Mathematics and a 5-year Integrated M.Sc. in four specializations: Data Science, Cyber Security, Software Systems, and Theoretical Computer Science.
Cyber Security is a specialized field in Information Technology (IT), which is regarded as a substream in Computer Science. The Cyber Security courses aim to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to defend computer operating systems, networks, and data from cyber-attacks.
Cyber Security as a profession is evolving over the years, the reason being the increasing rate of cybercrime. Any industry that transacts online or carries sensitive data is in need of a cyber security professional to safeguard its data from such delinquents. For cyber security, candidates must have successfully completed their 10+2 from any recognized board in Mathematics and Physics.
Selection Criteria
The final selection of candidates is done on the basis of an online test conducted by the institute based on HSC Mathematics followed by an interview.
