For NITs you should have a percentile of around 97 percent in JEE mains for open category and for any engineering college in India for a open category student it is mandatory to get a percentile of over 90 to get into software based course in the college.

It depends from state to state, better search for top universities in your state, try to sort the colleges by NIRF ranking, labs infrastructure.

Most engineering colleges have closed the admissions, I think its too late to apply for it. If you are willing to apply for the universities in Electrical engineering, apply in private colleges where you can enter through NRI quota, if there are any empty slots left, Hope you get a seat in a good university.

Hello Ansh Singh, I can understand your angst and the anxiety. Don't worry. If you can trace the newspaper where you saw this advertisement, then in that advert, modus of applying also would be given. Alternatively you can find out about the phone numbers or email id of the administration department of the college on the net and seek this information. In all Probability this information would be available on the website of this institution also. Best wishes to you.

Hello Manjunatha, perhaps I am hearing for the first time that someone doing Ph.D. or intending to do it is enquiring about placements. Normally speaking, one associates placements with graduation and not even PG. This is so since opportunities gets thinned out. Also by then one has invariably worked at few or many establishments and can negotiate better. Hence I feel that you should not worry about it. I am sure, even before completion of your Ph.D. you will get job offers. This is so since prospective employers always keep on the look out for highly qualified professionals. Best wishes to you.

Hello Kedar Patil, it's a tough question to answer. From the perspective of job opportunities, obviously the answer is CSE. However if you want to do business or be an entrepreneur after graduation then you must select branch that you like the most. Thete are good prospects in almost every branch. Best wishes to you.
