Hi, No, you cannot take admission in any college in India without having Chemistry as one of the subject. All the engineering courses are designed in such a way that, all the students should aware of everything. So, Chemistry is also included in the course structure. All branch students have Chemistry as well as Physics as a subject in the first two semesters, from third semester onwards, each branch will have their core subjects.

Hi, Obviously NIT Calicut is better to pursue Engineering in Computer Science Stream, Because it is the National Institute, It contains the best infrastructure than any other private colleges or universities. Hope you know that, NIT's only take student who are best performers in JEE Mains. NIT's provide excellent educations, the teachers in NIT's are highly qualified PhD's. So without a doubt, you can choose NIT. Now Coming to Chandigarh University, which is a private one. Private Universities or college should not be compared with NIT's or IIT's. So, I suggest you to choose NIT.
