Yes absolutely you are eligible to take admission. You don't need to give CUCET if you don't want to. Your admission will be based on your marks and there are various scholarships available as well based on your merits and other criteria are there as well. Hi in future there is very much scope of electronics as India making its steps in chip manufacturing industry but this is to be in future and presently core EC job is limited for core jobs you have to migrate to other country. Hence if you can rely on future that is4-5 year you can opt for it.
