It also depend on how you want to study after 12th. Planning for your next 5 -10 years will give your more clearity. Further you can make choice on basis of if you want to continue with your Science stream or venture into a new stream.

I am afraid that Diploma holders are not allowed admission in NIT but they are allowed admission in IIT. This is a very typical situation but drivelling at the moment. Perhaps the time has come for parents to exert pressure on the government to allow Diploma holders to take admission in NIT is on the lines of IIT. Presently after Diploma you can take admission in graduation in mining in one of the IIT after passing JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. Else you can think of seeking admission in an engineering college in your state which is offering this branch. Here you can seek admission directly into the second year of four year degree c
