Hello Prajwal, I feel that your rank at about 72K is a bit on the lower side. These days almost every student desire for admission in computer sciences engineering and hence students with better ranking only will get this branch. However to help you I am attaching a link that will predict the branch and the college which we can get based on your ranking in KCET. https://www.shiksha.com/engineering/kcet-college-predictor

The important highlights of both of colleges are given below. Medicaps University : Media-Caps has been a brand name in the arena of technical education. Since its inception in July 2000, Media-Caps has consistently aimed at creating an ideal ambiance for budding technocrats and managers; and helping them to grow like true professionals. Hello Marimuthu,
Hindusthan College of engineering and technology has a good reputation in Coimbatore and tamilnadu. You can definitely seek admission in this college. The placements of students of chemical engineering is good at the moment and I expect the trend to continue even after 4 years when you will pass out from this college. So do not worry about placements which are to happen 4 years from now but concentrate on getting admission and then doing well in the four years course so that you get placed in a good company.
I am attaching a link that will give you all the required information about this institution.

Hello Pankaj, IT would be a better choice as compared with electronics and telecommunication. However both these branches have good prospects for job when you pass out. In addition jadavpur university has a good name academically, hence many recruiters come here for placements. As far as the mop up round is concerned, it's like a lottery ticket! Nobody can predict and anybody can win !Best wishes to you.

The NITs as you described are low ranked but are the best among the private Universities. So if you get a chance than avail it. Otherwise its better to go for next year for high ranked NITs.
