Please write about the College name for better response. Generally B.Tech IT lateral needs Diploma in IT / Electronics/ Computer Engineering. However LPU is offering B.Tech IT Lateral admission and the eligibility criteria is given below. Eligibility criteria : Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (engineering. ). (any stream) 3 years after 10th or 2 years. After 10+2 (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Computer Science) or BCA or equivalent. Admission criteria : LPUNEST

Dear Path, LPU is the best engineering college in Punjab for CSE. Lately, number of admissions in CSE department has been increased rapidly and has become one of the popular courses among engineering aspirants. Hello Thirisha, You have scored almost 72 as percentile. This means there are 28% students who have score better than you. If 10 Lacs students have appeared for JEE Mains exam, then there would be almost 3 Lacs students above you. The total number of seats available in all NIT combined together is much less. In view of this I am afraid your chances of getting a seat in any course are quite low. But one never knows since there are special quota for girl candidates in all the NIT.
