Even you can try for NITs which are newly opened but it depends upon your choice of field you are choosing. You can check to the official link below. Its very difficult to get M.Tech CSE, Because most of the colleges required B.E. /B.Tech in relevant discipline even after obtaining the high marks in GATE.

First of all both the courses are equally good and have their respective scope. As per difference is concerned so the majority of the difference is in syllabus, B.Tech is having a rich variety of concepts while on the other hand B.Sc. Is having less variety of concepts in their course curriculum. Finally if I talk about the current scenario of the market, so many big firms does not care about your degree whether you have done B.Sc. Or B.Tech, what they want that how much tech skills you possess in your self and how you handle their projects that is important for them. Admission Criteria of Rajeev Gandhi Government Engineering College Kangra for B.Tech courses :
1. The admission to the first 50% of the seats shall be made on the basis of merit/rank/score obtained in Joint Entrance Examination (Main)-2020 hereinafter referred as JEE (Main)-2020}. All the B.Tech admission in IIT (ISM) Dhanbad are done by JEE Advanced. Hence you can not get direct admission in asked course at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad by using the JEE Main scores.

"IMU-CET is scheduled on 16.08.2020 for admissions to the UG, PG and Research Programmes for the Academic Year 2020-21. The Registration link will be opened on 26.06.2020". So from above you can apply for IMUCET-2020. The eligibility criteria of IMUCET for B.Tech Marine Engineering is given below for an idea. Eligibility criteria : 10+2 or equivalent (PCM - 60% average and minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th or 12th Examination. )
