It is very nice to hear from you that you are interested in pursuing your M Tech in information technology. This, of course, is the branch which is preferred by the majority of students and hence there will be tough competition. Due to this, it's difficult to guess as to at what score of GATE 2020 admission will close in different colleges. Very nice to hear from you that you are interested in doing your post-graduation Science in food technology. This definitely is an upcoming topic particularly in India. Though the country is self sufficient in food items, lot of wastage occurs and food technologists can come out with different methodologies of preserving so that the wastage is avoided. After completion of your graduation in engineering in IT specialization, there will be plenty of choices open for you. Actually speaking for foreign universities, admissions are not based exclusively on academics but on a set of parameters. A student is well advised to have points for each parameter for a successful attempt at admission. However it is easier said than done. In view of this I would advise you to approach an agency dealing with sending students abroad for post-graduation studies. Best wishes to you.

Exam Authorities have set some criteria related to educational qualifications for the aspirants who want to apply for the IIT JAM exam. But, there is no age limit and no limit on a number of attempts, you can apply as many times as you want or whenever you want.
