Q:   Who is eligible for SITEEE 2024?

A:

Candidate must have passed Class 12 (10+2) or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies from any recognised Board with a minimum of 45% marks or equivalent grade (40% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes).

Q:   Is SITEEE 2024 result declared?

A:

The SITEEE result 2024 was released on May 22, 2024 on the official website at set-test.org. Candidates who took the exam can check their results by using their SITEEE user ID and password. If the candidate does not remember their password, they can click on forgot password and reset it again. The scorecard for SITEEE 2024 consists of the details of the candidate's sectional marks, overall marks, and provisional qualifying status. What is SITEEE?

SIT Engineering Entrance Exam (SITEEE) is conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed University). It is held every year for admission to the engineering programme of Symbiosis International (Deemed University). Candidates aspiring to join an undergraduate degree programme offered by the University must appear for one (or more) of the three tests - Symbiosis Entrance Test - A (SET A) / Symbiosis Entrance Test - B (SET B) / Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) / SIT Engineering Entrance Exam (SITEEE).

Q:   How will the SITEEE exam be conducted, online or offline?

A:

Candidates who are aspiring to join B.Tech. programmes offered by institutes of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) need to appear for the common yet mandatory Computer Based Test (CBT). SITEEE will be conducted online and will have three sections: - Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The SITEEE was earlier known as SET. The duration of the SITEEE online exam is one hour, or 60 minutes. Each question in SITEEE will carry two marks. The exam will be held across several test cities in India.

Q:   What is the duration of the SITEEE examination?

Q:   Is the difficulty level of SITEEE same as that of JEE Mains?

A:

The SITEEE exam is a bit easier than the JEE Mains. But if a candidate does not prepare well, then the exam will be difficult for him or her. The questions asked in the exam are of 11th and 12th standard. There is no negative marking, and each question carries two marks. So, in total, the paper is worth 120 marks. It is advised by the candidates to do proper revisions during the preparation period. Further, it is advised to the candidates that they should remain cool-minded in the examination centre and attempt all those questions that a candidate knows for sure in the first go, and second time go through the paper to see which questions are still there to solve. Spend one or two minutes at max to solve such questions. There is no negative marking in the SITEEE exam, so intelligent guessing and quick paper solving can lead a candidate in a positive direction. Rest depends on how much preparation a candidate does.

No, the SITEEE exam does not have a negative marking rule for incorrect answers. In the SITEEE exam, each question carries two marks; for every correct answer, a candidate will get two marks. Q:   Do I need to attempt all the questions in the SITEEE exam?

A:

It is not mandatory to attempt all the questions in the SITEEE exam. Candidates can attempt any number of questions out of the total 60 questions in the exam. Each question in the SITEEE exam carries two marks. Therefore, for every correct answer, a candidate will get two marks. Here it is to be noted that there is no provision for negative marking, i.e., no marks will be deducted for the wrong answers. So, candidates can give it a try to get the answer. Questions for which the answer is not sure should not be left and can be tried at the examination centre.

Q:   Is it necessary to complete the syllabus for SITEEE exam or focusing on some important chapters will be enough?

For the SITEEE exam, it is significant to cover the entire syllabus. Moreover, the SITEEE exam is designed to test your knowledge across all the topics in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. It is important to have a solid foundation in all the concepts covered in the syllabus. Physics: Mechanics, Newton's laws of motion, work-energy theorem, impulse and momentum, rotational dynamics, electricity and magnetism, Optics, Waves, etc.

Chemistry: Organic Chemistry like hydrocarbons, alcohols, phenols, aldehydes and ketones, carboxylic acids, amines, etc. Inorganic Chemistry like periodic table, chemical bonding, coordination compounds, p-block elements, metallurgy, etc. Physical Chemistry like thermodynamics, chemical equilibrium, electrochemistry, chemical kinetics, etc.

Mathematics: Calculus like limits and continuity, derivatives, applications of derivatives, integration, applications of integration, etc. Algebra includes complex numbers, quadratic equations, inequalities, sequence and series, permutations and combinations, binomial theorem, matrices and determinants, etc. Coordinate Geometry like straight lines, circles, conic sections, etc.

SITEEE 2025 Syllabus

Q:   Is class 11th portion included in SITEEE exam for B.Tech?

A:

Yes, the class 11th portion has also been included in the SITEEE exam for B.Tech., and in this exam, the syllabus will be approximately 40% of the total course of the exam, hence, study accordingly. However, the SITEEE exam syllabus includes both class 11 and class 12 topics for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidates can score better marks in the SITEEE exam by starting their preparation early. SITEEE is conducted by Symbiosis International, Pune, for admission into the various B.Tech. courses. The SITEEE exam pattern includes questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. 15 questions are asked from each Chemistry and Physics, while 30 questions are asked from the Mathematics section. There are a total of 60 questions asked in the entrance exam.

It is mandatory for candidates to fill the SITEEE application form in order to participate in the examination and admission procedure.   • A duplicate Authenticated Admit Card would not be issued in case of a loss. The original was retained until the admissions process was completed.

Q:   What is Institute Registration in SITEEE?

A:

Institute Registration refers to the process of selecting your preferred SIU institutes for admission at the time of filling the application form INR 1000 will be charged additionally for Institute Registration. The SITEEE application form will be available online. Those candidates who submit the SITEEE application form for the Symbiosis entrance test will be issued an admit card to appear in the exam. Candidates can also register for SITEEE via JEE Main/MHT CET scores. Q:   If a candidate has scored good marks in a competitive exam but PCM aggregate is less than 45%, what are the chances to get admission in SIT?

A:

If the percentage is below 45% for a general candidate or below 40% for a reserved category candidate then the candidate is not eligible for admission. Candidates should meet the eligibility criteria in order to apply for SITEEE. The admission authority will not consider the application of non-eligible candidates.

Q:   Can I secure admission to B.Tech programmes at SIT through JEE Main?

Yes, such candidates will have to appear for SITEEE counseling process. It is to be noted that the  SITEEE Counselling will be conducted in an offline mode and therefore, all the candidates who are eligible will have to report to SIT Pune to participate in the process.
