Qualification required to become an ethical hacker:
To avail a government job as an ethical hacker in India, you need to have certain academic credentials. The potential candidate must have a graduate or post graduate degree in information technology or computer science and allied fields. Diploma or a credited course in ethical hacking is a plus. The candidate must be certified as an ethical hacker from a reputed institution for better job prospects. Some of these certifications include:
1. Certified Hacking Forensic Investigator (EC-Council).
2. Certified Ethical Hacker (EC-Council).
3. GIAC Certified Penetration Tester (GPEN) by SAN and
4. GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA).
Special training in the field and experience adds to the resume of the candidate.

You require to have a Bachelor degree in computer science, Application / IT to join for M.Sc - cyber security course. Same course is available at M.Tech level too. BE / B Tech in CSE/ IT is the entry requirement. You can undergo graduation in BCA, B.Sc or BE/ B Tech.
