Hi Jaitr,
Both are good courses and have wide scope. However, mass communication is a wide subject that not only covers the topic of filmmaking but even more than that. Filmmaking has just a limited reach to direction, production, etc. Mass communication covers each and every aspect. If you only want to get a proficiency in film making and looking forward to make it your career than go for it. But if you want to cover all other major fields like journalism, photography, public relations, etc. then go for mass communication.

You need to have completed your 12th from any stream and score more than 60%. If you want to become a director then go for a mass media course and learn about the industry, it will give you the exposure that you'll need as it teaches you everything about the industry.

Hi Stuti!
No, you are not eligible to apply for NSD right now. You need to be a graduate first. Also, in order to qualify for the course, you should have participated in at least 6 theatre productions. A working knowledge of Hindi and English language is a must.
