Hello Abhijith,well i must tell you that diploma in game designing is more than enough for you to get you placed in any of the big companies,the reason being that what preferred is your work,your portfolio and the professional touch that you can give to your work.Suppose if you have a degree in animation and your work is not upto the mark then it is not going to help you to get placed.In this stream only the quality of work you can provide will be preferred and nothing else.So just go for it.If you are looking for institutions that can provide you with these type of courses then the following institutions would be the best ones for you

Hello Abhijith,
Yes you could do it for sure. Industrial Design Centre at IIT, Powai offers PG in creative segment of Animation & Design. Even NID offers the same. Admission to both programs are through entrance. If you are creative, do consider the option.
Gaming is a highly exciting, youthful career. It needs lot of passion, patience and Creativity to become Game Designer. Ensure that you possess it.

Gaming is a highly exciting, youthful career. It needs lot of passion, patience and Creativity to become Game Designer. Ensure that you possess it. Gaming is still in its nascent stage in India. Till date there are very few appropriate programs available for Game Art Design.
You could also do a Animation and Digital Media program which covers all the aspects desired to become an avid designer for game contents. Such course not only prepares you for Gaming but also for Animation Studios, Production Houses, Web, Ad agencies, Home entertainment through TV, e-learning etc.

Hello Ujjwal,
Game design is an application of Digital Media and Animation segment. You may learn pre production with sketching, graphic design etc ,production using 2d-3d Animation & post production using Editing & vfx. You may opt to learn these skills from any leading Animation School.
Animation related programs are offered by lot of Government Colleges and Autonomous Institutes & Universities.
While choosing any institute ensure that you are taught by Experienced & proficient Mentors. Also ensure adequate infrastructure, industry interface & validate placement track record of alumni's. Learning Software alone won't help you.

happy to help you. After 10th, you have a wide variety of options ranging from commerce to arts, Animation multimedia and gaming. Since you have knowledge in computer and drawing you can choose a career course in multimedia. Multimedia includes 2D animation, 3D animation, graphics designing and web designing. You could go for a B.sc in any of these fields after your 12th.Animation industry is growing at a fast pace and there are excellent job opportunities in this field. Viresh, If you're creative, you can always consider going for Design and Animation. A good mentor and wise selection of courses with a good school, followed by diligent learning, would get you a head start in your career. However, you must check your suitability for this field. Dhananjay, I'd be happy to understand your current stage of progress including academics, courses, hobbies and other interests to help you understand what in you can lead to game design and also what aspect of game design can suit you better. That's good. I would like to advise you not to worry about what the qualification is going to be. Just find the best place to learn and join. I could tell you that ABC is one of the best and go read online about it. I could tell you to search the youtube for 'best animation faculty' or 'best animation institute'. However these are only some of the methods of shortlisting. There is no such authentic one list of institutes that i can give you. All institute branches have same curriculum, like all states in India follow the same constitution. By same comparison all state progress differently and after a certain time the gap becomes huge.
