As we know, admission to the M.Tech programmes offered at NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs is done via CCMT counselling based on GATE scores. The conducting body for CCMT counselling changes every year. After the announcement of the organising body, candidates can check the result of the seat allotment on the official website.

The CCMT eligibility is mentioned below: - Candidates must have a valid GATE score - A minimum of 6.5 CGPA or 60% marks must be acquired in the qualifying exam (For General and OBC). -

For SC/ST/PwD category candidates, the eligibility is set at a minimum of 6.0 CGPA or 55% marks.

GATE 2024 answer key will be released on February 21, 2024. The window to challenge the provisional answer key will open on February 22 and will be available till 25. The final answer key will be released along with the result. Candidates not satisfied with the GATE 2024 official answer key can submit their challenge. The final answer key will be released along with the announcement of the GATE result. Candidates have to visit the official website to check the answer key. Students applying for GATE 2024 can opt for two subject papers from the prescribed set of combinations. Earlier, the candidates could apply to appear in only one subject. As a candidate is allowed to appear in only two papers (only approved set) of the 29 papers for which the GATE 2024 will be conducted, they have to carefully make a choice of the papers they wish to write. The answer is no. BCA students are not eligible to apply for GATE. But if they are doing MCA after completing BCA then they are eligible for GATE exams.

Only the students having a Bachelor's degree from any IIT and having a CGPA/CPI score of 8.00 (out of 10.0) and above can apply for admission to Ph.D. programmes without giving GATE/net.

If you cracked UPSC ESE then definitely join as IES. Or if you are preparing then give both GATE and UPSC ESE your first priority should be IES then any PSU job.
