The GATE conducting authorities offer scribe facility to candidates. However, to request a scribe for the GATE 2026 exam, candidates must fulfil the required criteria imposed for scribe candidates, which are as follows -
- Candidates with permanent disabilities of 40% or more, including visual impairments or locomotor disabilities affecting writing hand are eligible to apply for a scribe.
- Required medical certifications and documents must be submitted during the GATE registration.

Yes, you are eligible to appear for GATE 2025 even if you are in the 3rd year of your B.Tech at Vignan University. GATE allows candidates who are in the 3rd or higher year of their undergraduate degree to apply for the exam.
The eligibility criteria for GATE 2025 are as follows:

The Anna University conducts CEETA-PG, or Common Engineering Entrance Exam for Postgraduate for M.E./M.Tech. Admission. Qualifying candidates for the CEETA-PG must possess a Bachelor's degree from any recognised University in relevant fields with minimum 50% marks in aggregate while 45% for those belonging to the reserved category. Yes it is possible if you score in the GATE exam in Material Science or other related fields like Biotech, Chemical Engineering and so on, you can apply for M.Tech in Material Science at IIT Bombay even if you have done your B.Tech in Biotechnology. At IIT Bombay, students from all the engineering disciplines can opt for Material Science. Candidates must fulfill other criteria as well to get admission through GATE. YES, Candidates who have taken admission after finishing their Diploma courses in their second year are technically in their 3rd year after completing 10 + 2. Any undergraduate student in 3rd year or higher years of any government-approved programme in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Arts/Commerce/Science can appear for GATE Exam.

No, Candidates who are in final/ 3rd or above year in their graduation only can fill GATE application form. Candidates in 1st or 2nd year of graduation cannot fill in the GATE application form.

No, A candidate needs to have a minimum bachelor's degree in engineering/ science/ arts/ Humanities. to appear for GATE exam. Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE) is an entrance exam for admission to postgraduate courses.
