Some nursing colleges may conduct their own entrance exams or interview rounds for the selection of candidates.

GNM Admission is primarily conducted through state-specific entrance exams. Also, the basic eligibility criteria for GNM Admission is that students must pass class 12, with more than 40% having English as a subject of study. Furthermore, the GNM Nursing eligibility criteria may vary slightly from state to state.

WB GNM Nursing Admission is done based on the WB ANM-GNM Entrance Exam. States like Kerala, Punjab, and Odisha conduct the GNM Admission Process based on a candidate's marks in their previous qualifying exam

The GNM course is a 3.5-year diploma program. The eligibility criteria include:
 
  • 10+2 from a recognized board
  • Class 12th (Physics, Biology, Chemistry)
The course fee for GNM Nursing ranges from INR 30,000 to 2.5 lakhs.
 
In government colleges, the GNM nursing course fee starts at INR 10,000. In private colleges in Kolkata, the fee varies from INR 3 lakh to INR 10 lakh.

After GNM one can pursue a Bachelor'. Yes, after the gap of 7 years after GNM one can pursue B.Sc Nursing. Following GNM, one can register with the State Nurse Registration Council as an R.N.R.M. Following that, one may work and earn work experience. This qualification can be utilized to enroll in a BSc nursing (Post Basic) programme at an INC-accredited college. A Nursing Degree will be conferred upon completion of the BSc program.

The fee structure at Dhanalakshmi College of Nursing for General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) usually depends upon the courses. The total Fee structure of the college includes the tuition fee, Hostel Fee, etc. The total Fee includes the Tuition charge of 70000, management fee of 12000, other fee of 5000, book fee of 3000, hostel fee of 40000, and mess fee of 20000. The course fee usually depends on the course or is sometimes included in the other fee only.
