The Salutary Nursing Institute of Abohar in Punjab may no longer accept children as college students who do not attend GNM courses because the same old practice requires full-time GNM applications. Students from any stream, with or without Science, can enroll as a student in a GNM course. GNM, or General Nursing and Midwifery, is a course of 3 years and 6 months for those candidates who want to specialize in Clinical Nursing.
Minimum requirement now being sought after in this course is Grade 12 from any stream with a minimum score of 40% in prerequisite tests. Candidates necessarily have to study English in their Class 12 curriculum as the only criterion.
