There are many opportunities in B.Sc. in geology.
You can work in any college or university as a professor and you can apply for scholar research program and this field knowledge is most important in NASA, ISRO also.

As per the survey, after completing degree in earth science candidates are choose the following path:
1. Employed: 51.8%.
2. Further study: 31.7%.
3. Working and studying: 4.3%.
After looking at this, we can say that there is a good career scope after completing it. If you are a science student and willing to pursue your career further as a junior research fellow or an assistant professor, then you should aim for CSIR - NET exam.
You can go for CSIR NET exam in earth science. After getting selected in exam, you can go for JRF for 3 years, you can extend it for 2 years more and later you can become a scientist.

Yes, you are eligible for geology because for admission to B.Sc. in general or honors, 12th with science, either in non-medical or medical subjects with at least 50% marks is required.
