A reservation quota exists for ex-defense personnel participating in the SBI Clerk examination through the Ex-Servicemen (EXS) category. 14.5% of the available positions at SBI follow the guidelines that reserve spots for ex-servicemen together with Emergency Commissioned Officers (ECOs) and Short Service Commissioned Officers (SSCOs) who fulfilled their military service requirement of five years. Disabled ex-servicemen compose 4.5% of the total candidates selected under this designated quota. When applying for this category no fee is required to pay by candidates. Ex-servicemen can take advantage of an extended age limit through which they receive three years more than general category candidates provided they remain younger than 50 years old. Selection for recruitment proceeds through examining prelims, Mains and local language assessments without the need for specific sectional minimums.

The General Ability Test (GAT) and Mathematics are the two papers that make up the NDA entrance exam. The GAT includes English, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, which are subjects in which students in the humanities frequently succeed even though mathematics is a major component.

General Knowledge and General Science (GK/GS)-the section of the exam conducted by the SSC GD-brings with it a diverse range of topics from History (15-20% of questions), Geography (15-20%), Polity (10-15%), Economy (10-15%), Science and Technology (10-15%), to Current Affairs (10-15%). Important topics refer to Ancient and Modern History, Indian Geography, Constitution of India, Economic Development, Scientific Inventions, and Contemporary Events of National and International Relevance. Around 20-25% of questions test factual knowledge while roughly 75-80% require analytical reasoning. The GK/GS section composes 20-25 questions where candidates are expected to qualify with 40-50%. 

Students are permitted to take the NDA exam under NDA 2 conditions because NDA 1 requires applicants between July 2, 2005 and July 1, 2008. The second NDA test accepts candidates within a specific age range of January 2, 2006 to January 1, 2009. Your birth year of 2008 falls within the prescribed age range making you eligible for the NDA exam. The Air Force and Naval Wings and the Army Wing require passing Class 12 or appearing in an equivalent level including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics but only Class 12 passing will suffice for the Army Wing. Review your all admission standards ahead of making an application. The application fee amounts to INR 100 for candidates who fall under the general category.
