According to your documents, at 23 years and 5 months old, you meet the age criteria for both the Indian Military Academy (IMA) and Officers' Training Academy (OTA) through the CDS2 examination.the official age limits are

IMA: Unmarried male candidates born between July 2,2001, and July 1,2006.

OTA: Unmarried male candidates born between July 2,2000, and July 1,2006.

Since eligibity is based on date of birth mentioned on the documents, age 22 years doesn't affect your application.

No, a CDS officer typically wouldn't become a General because a CDS officer is a distinguished officer from any of the three services who has already reached a high rank before being appointed to the CDS position and the CDS position has a fixed tenure, typically two years.

You are not qualified to qualify for the CDS (Combined Defence Services) exam in 2021 based on your birthdate of July 25, 1997. For the majority of entries, the age limit for CDS is often between 19 and 24 years old. You may have been qualified because you would have turned 24 in 2021; but, eligibility is also dependent on other variables like educational background and other entry requirements. Make careful to verify the most recent eligibility requirements and dates for CDS tests in the future.

To be enrolled in the Indian Armed Forces Academies, candidates must pass a written, mental, physical, and interview exam. It is recommended that candidates take the medical and physical examinations before completing the CDS application.

The age for the CDS Exam is calculated based on a specific reference date: January 1st of the year of the examination.

Here's what to remember:

  • The age limit varies depending on the specific Academy and entry scheme you choose within the CDS.
  • They consider your age as of January 1st, not your birthday.
