The overall difficulty level of the exam was easy to moderate. The Reasoning section was moderate and the Quant section was easy. The test paper carries a total of 80 questions. The subjects included in the prelims exam are Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude. The test paper carried a total of 80 marks.

Candidates need to produce one photo-identity proof along with RRB ALP admit card. The candidate should also produce an identity proof such as voter ID, Aadhaar card, passport copy or driving license at test center. Candidates without the photo-identity proof will not be allowed to appear for the exam. Candidates need to carry both original and photocopy of the identity proofs.

Candidates are not allowed to carry calculators for RRB ALP exam. Candidates are usually provided with rough sheets for calculations during the exam, and the use of calculators or any electronic devices for calculations is typically prohibited. If any of the candidates brings any of the Electronic Gadgets then he/she will be debarred from the Examination.

RRB ALP exam centre details are made available in admit card. Prior to that, the city intimation slip is released. Candidates can check which RRB ALP exam centres 2024 they have been allotted by entering their credentials in the login window. Candidates need to appear for the exam in the centre allotted to them. Candidates need to carry printed copy of their admit cards along with one photo-identity proof to the exam centre.
