Candidates need to fulfil the following eligibility criteria for SSC CPO 2024 exam:
Nationality
- Other than the Indian nationals, the following candidates can apply
- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan having a certificate in the favour of their category issued by the Indian Government
- Candidates, in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary are admitted to the examination but the offer of appointment is given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to them by the Government of India
Age Limit The age of candidates should be between 20 and 25 years. Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1999 and not later than 01.08.2004 to be eligible to apply. Relaxation in the upper age limit of five years is provided to SC/ST candidates and three years to OBC and Ex-Servicemen categories.
Educational Qualification: Any graduate candidate can apply for the SSC SI exam.
SSC CPO educational qualification is given below.
- Educational Qualification for all posts is a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university or equivalent.
- The programs in Engineering, Medicine, Dental, Nursing, Pharmacy, Architecture, and Physiotherapy, etc. are not permitted to be offered under Open and Distance Learning mode.
- Candidates who have not acquired the educational qualification will not be eligible and need not apply.
- For the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police (only) - Male candidates must possess a valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) as on the date fixed for Physical Endurance and Standard Tests. Otherwise, they will not be allowed to undergo Physical Endurance and Standard Tests.

SSC CPO Admit Card 2025
SSC CPO admit card 2025 is released online separately for different stages of the selection process. The admit card is released on the regional websites of SSC. To download the SSC CPO admit card, candidates are required to login with the registration number and date of birth. Candidates need to appear for the exam as per SSC CPO shift timings.
SSC CPO Exam Day Guidelines
Candidates can check below the exam day guidelines for SSC CPO exam:
- Candidates must carry the printed copy of their admit cards to the exam hall along with one photo-identity proof
- Candidates must reach the exam centre an hour before the reporting time for the verification process
- Candidates must carry two passport-sized photographs to paste on the admit card
- Pen or pencil is provided to candidates at the examination hall
- No eatables are allowed in the exam hall
- No electronic items are allowed in the exam hall
- Candidates should not wear rings, bracelets, earrings, chains, nose pins, pendant, badge, brooch, hairpin, hair band, clothes with full sleeves
- Candidates should wear chappal instead of shoes
- No books/notepads/registers/magazines are allowed in the exam hall
SSC CPO Exam Pattern 2025
SSC CPO Paper 1 and 2 are conducted in computer-based mode. Paper 1 comprises questions spread over four sections. The duration of the test is two hours as per SSC CPO exam pattern. The total marks of the test are 200. PET/PST is conducted for the qualified candidates of Paper 1. This stage is qualifying in nature but it is mandatory to appear for the exam. Paper 2 is conducted for the qualified candidates of PET/PST. The total marks allotted to the test are 200. For DME, candidates are called on the basis of their performance in Papers 1 and 2. Candidates qualifying the DME are called for document verification.
SSC CPO Exam Analysis
SSC CPO exam analysis highlights the section-wise and overall difficulty level of the exam. In 2024, the difficulty level of the exam was easy. The GK section was moderate. The Maths and Reasoning sections were easy. Questions in the mains exam were asked from Geometry, Triangle, Chord, Length, Hemisphere, Questions in English were asked about Synonyms, Antonyms, One Word, Grammar, Idioms, Spellings, etc. Questions in the Current Affairs were asked from the events that took place last year. SSC CPO Syllabus 2025
SSC CPO syllabus comprises topics and sub-topics from General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension. SSC CPO syllabus for different subjects is given below:
General Intelligence and Reasoning: Questions are asked from analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, spatial orientation, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding, and decoding, etc.
General Knowledge and General Awareness: The test include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, scientific Research, etc.
Quantitative Aptitude: Questions are asked from whole numbers, decimals, fractions and relationships between numbers, Percentage, Ratio and Proportion, Square
roots, Averages, Interest, Profit & Loss, Discount, Partnership Business, Mixture and Allegation, Time and distance, Time & Work, Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra and Elementary surds, etc.
English Comprehension: This section assesses a candidate's ability to understand basic English, Comprehension & Writing Ability.
