SSC CPO 2024: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) revised the exam dates for SSC CPO 2024 exam. The exam will now be conducted on June 27, 28 and 29, 2024. Earlier, the exam was scheduled to be conducted on May 9, 10 and 13, 2024.

SSC CPO 2024 notification was released to fill up a total of 4,187 vacancies. SSC CPO application form 2024 was available from March 4 to 28, 2024. The online payment of application fee could be done till March 28, 2024. The fee could be paid offline till March 29, 2024. 

Earlier, SSC CPO 2024 notification was scheduled to be released on February 15, 2024. The application form was scheduled to be made available from February 15 to March 14, 2024.

SSC CPO 2023 Final Marks

SSC CPO final marks were announced on May 14, 2024. Candidates can check their marks by logging with the required credentials. Based on the marks, candidates were selected for appointment.

SSC CPO application form 2024 was available online. Interested candidates can apply online for the exam. The application fee was INR 100 for General and OBC candidates. However, SC, ST, women, and ESM candidates were exempted from fee payment.

SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria 2024

Candidates need to fulfil the following eligibility criteria for SSC CPO 2024 exam:

Nationality

  • Other than the Indian nationals, the following candidates can apply
  • A subject of Nepal or Bhutan having a certificate in the favour of their category issued by the Indian Government
  • Candidates, in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary are admitted to the examination but the offer of appointment is given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to them by the Government of India

Age Limit The age of candidates should be between 20 and 25 years. Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1999 and not later than 01.08.2004 to be eligible to apply. Relaxation in the upper age limit of five years is provided to SC/ST candidates and three years to OBC and Ex-Servicemen categories.

Educational Qualification: Any graduate candidate can apply for the SSC SI exam.

SSC CPO Selection Process 2024

The complete selection process of SSC CPO is explained below:

SSC CPO Application Form: Candidates interested to apply for SSC CPO exam need to fill the application form online. The application fees, which are INR 100, can be paid both online and offline. SC, ST, women, and ESM candidates are exempted from fee payment. The process to fill SSC CPO application form is explained below:

SSC CPO Admit Card: The admit card of SSC CPO is released online separately for different stages of exams. SSC CPO admit card is made available on the regional websites of SSC two weeks before the exam. Candidates can download their admit cards by logging with the required credentials.

SSC CPO exam: SSC CPO exam is conducted in several stages-Paper 1, Physical Standard Test (PST)/ Physical Endurance Test (PET), Paper 2, and Detailed Medical Examination (DME).

SSC CPO Exam Centres 2024

SSC CPO exam is conducted in over 100 cities. The preferences of exam cities are required to be entered while filling the application form. Candidates can choose three cities in the order of their preferences. The examination authority reserves the right to allot the exam cities to candidates. SSC CPO Exam Pattern

SSC CPO Paper 1 and 2 are conducted in computer-based mode. Paper 1 comprises questions spread over four sections. The duration of the test is two hours. The total marks of the test are 200. PET/PST is conducted for the qualified candidates of Paper 1. This stage is qualifying in nature but it is mandatory to appear for the exam. Paper 2 is conducted for the qualified candidates of PET/PST. The total marks allotted to the test are 200. For DME, candidates are called on the basis of their performance in Papers 1 and 2. Candidates qualifying the DME are called for document verification.

Sub Inspector in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF)

Sub Inspector in Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)

Q:   What is the training period for SSC CPO?

The training syllabi for induction courses are confined to training institutions. The duration of training is usually of six to nine months. Indoor training involves imparting knowledge on various subjects under the law, police science, police rules, practical work, criminology, cybercrime and terrorism, human behavior, etc. The outdoor module trains the officers in several fields- physical exercise and drills, vehicle driving, handling of arms and weapons, and practice firing. Special emphasis is given to fitness and unarmed combat. Candidates selected through SSC CPO exam are appointed to the post of Sub Inspector with either the Delhi Police, the CAPF or as Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF. The CAPF is a Paramilitary force also known as the Central Armed Police Forces. It is not directly a wing of the Military and it comes under the Home Ministry.
