SSC CPO 2022: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released SSC CPO admit card 2022 for PET. A total of 68,364 candidates have qualified for PET, out of which 4419 are female candidates and 63945 are male candidates.

SSC also revised SSC CPO eligibility criteria 2022 in terms of medical standards. The RME of candidates found to be unfit during DME will be conducted in continuation of DME preferably on the next day of DME. Earlier, candidates who were found to be unfit were informed of the position and they could make an appeal before Review Medical Board within the prescribed time limit of 15 days.

SSC CPO application form correction window was made available on September 1. SSC CPO application process closed on August 30. The application form was released on August 10 to fill the vacancy of Central Police Organization (Sub-Inspectors) posts. Candidates could pay their application fees both online and offline till August 31. 

SSC CPO notification 2022 was released on August 10, 2022. A total of 4,300 vacancies were announced for the exam. SSC CPO exam is conducted to select candidates for the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police, Sub Inspector in CAPFs, Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF, Inspector posts, and Sub Inspector Posts.

Candidates appearing for SSC CPO exam should be between 20 and 25 years. Departmental candidates among Constables, Head Constables and Assistant Sub-Inspector of Delhi Police with a minimum of three years of service and not over 30 years (33 years for OBC and 35 years for SC/ST) are also eligible to apply for open and departmental vacancies of Sub-Inspector (Executive)-Male.

SSC CPO 2023-24 Exam Schedule Announced

SSC has announced the complete schedule for SSC CPO 2023-24 exam. The notification for the exam will be released on July 20, 2023. The application form will be available from July 20 to August 13, 2023. The exam will be conducted in October 2023.

SSC CPO answer key was released by SSC on November 16. Along with the answer key, candidates' response sheet and objection tracker are also released. To download SSC CPO answer key 2022, candidates need to enter user ID and password. To raise objections, candidates need to pay INR 100 per question. 

SSC CPO Application Process 2022

SSC CPO application form 2022 was released on August 10, 2022. Interested candidates could apply for the exam till August 30, 2022. The application fee was INR 100 for General and OBC candidates. However, SC, ST, women and ESM candidates were exempted from fee payment.

SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria 2022

Candidates need to fulfil the following eligibility criteria for SSC CPO 2022 exam:

Nationality

  • Other than the Indian nationals, the following candidates can apply
  • A subject of Nepal or Bhutan having a certificate in the favour of their category issued by the Indian Government
  • Candidates, in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary are admitted to the examination but the offer of appointment is given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to them by the Government of India

Age Limit as on January 1, 2022: The age of candidates should be between 20 and 25 years. Candidates must have born not before 02.01.1997 and not later than 01.01.2002. Relaxation in the upper age limit of five years is provided to SC/ST candidates and three years to OBC and Ex-Servicemen categories.

Educational Qualification as on August 30, 2022: Any graduate candidate can apply for the SSC SI exam.

SSC CPO Selection Process 2022

The complete selection process of SSC CPO is explained below:

SSC CPO Application Form: Candidates interested to apply for SSC CPO exam need to fill the application form online. The application fees, which are INR 100, can be paid both online and offline. SC, ST, women, and ESM candidates are exempted from fee payment. The process to fill SSC CPO application form is explained below:

SSC CPO Admit Card: The admit card of SSC CPO is released online separately for different stages of exams. SSC CPO admit card is made available on the regional websites of SSC two weeks before the exam. Candidates can download their admit cards by logging with the required credentials.

SSC CPO exam: SSC CPO exam is conducted in several stages-Paper 1, Physical Standard Test (PST)/ Physical Endurance Test (PET), Paper 2, and Detailed Medical Examination (DME). 

SSC CPO Result: SSC CPO result is announced online for various stages in PDF form. The result PDF displays the roll numbers of qualified candidates. The marks of candidates are released a few days after the declaration of the result.

Final selection: Final selection and allocation to the post are made based on the performance in Paper 1, 2 and preferences given by candidates at the time of document verification.

SSC CPO Exam Centres 2022

SSC CPO exam was conducted in over 100 cities. The preferences of exam cities were required to be entered while filling the application form. Candidates could choose three cities in the order of their preferences. The examination authority reserves the right to allot the exam cities to candidates. SSC CPO Syllabus 2022

SSC CPO syllabus comprises topics and sub-topics from General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension. SSC CPO syllabus for different subjects is given below: 

General Intelligence and Reasoning: Questions are asked from analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, spatial orientation, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding, and decoding, etc. 

General Knowledge and General Awareness: The test include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, scientific Research, etc. 

Quantitative Aptitude: Questions are asked from whole numbers, decimals, fractions and relationships between numbers, Percentage, Ratio and Proportion, Square
roots, Averages, Interest, Profit & Loss, Discount, Partnership Business, Mixture and Allegation, Time and distance, Time & Work, Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra and Elementary surds, etc. 

English Comprehension: This section assesses a candidate's ability to understand basic English, Comprehension & Writing Ability. 

SSC CPO Exam Pattern

SSC CPO Paper 1 and 2 are conducted in computer-based mode. Paper 1 comprises questions spread over four sections. The duration of the test is two hours. The total marks of the test are 200. PET/PST is conducted for the qualified candidates of Paper 1. This stage is qualifying in nature but it is mandatory to appear for the exam. Paper-2 is conducted for the qualified candidates of PET/PST. The total marks allotted to the test are 200. For DME, candidates are called on the basis of their performance in Paper 1 and 2. Candidates qualifying the DME are called for document verification.

SSC CPO 2022 Exam Day Guidelines 

Candidates can check below the exam day guidelines for SSC CPO 2022 exam:

  • Candidates must carry the printed copy of their admit cards to the exam hall along with one photo-identity proof
  • Candidates must reach the exam centre an hour before the reporting time for the verification process
  • Candidates must carry two passport-sized photographs to paste on the admit card
  • Pen or pencil is provided to candidates at the examination hall
  • No eatables are allowed in the exam hall
  • No electronic items are allowed in the exam hall
  • Candidates should not wear rings, bracelets, earrings, chains, nose pins, pendant, badge, brooch, hairpin, hair band, clothes with full sleeves
  • Candidates should wear chappal instead of shoes
  • No books/notepads/registers/magazines are allowed in the exam hall
