There are quite a few government job options for BTech graduates in India, spanning various sectors and departments. Here we have mentioned some of them:

Central Government Jobs:

Indian Engineering Services (IES): Considered one of the most prestigious exams for engineers in India, IES opens doors to various ministries and departments like Railways, Public Works Department (PWD), Defence, and Telecommunications.

Engineering Services Examination (ESE): Similar to IES, ESE recruits engineers for various Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) like ONGC, BHEL, NTPC, and SAIL.

Scientist Recruitment Board (SRB): This exam recruits scientific and technical personnel for various research and development organizations under the Department of Science & Technology (DST),  Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO),  and Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).

State Government Jobs:

• State Public Service Commissions (PSCs): Each state has its own PSC that conducts exams for various engineering positions in state government departments like irrigation,  electricity,  public works,  and urban development.
• State Electricity Boards: Many states have their own electricity boards that recruit engineers for power generation,  transmission,  and distribution.

Other Government Jobs:

Railways: Indian Railways offers a wide range of engineering positions in areas like civil,  mechanical,  electrical,  and electronics.

Defence: Various defence organizations like DRDO,  Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO),  and Border Security Force (BSF) recruit engineers for technical roles.

RRB Group D modification window is made available after the closure of the application process. To modify the details related to railway, email, and mobile number can be done by paying the modification fee of INR 100. The modification fee is applicable to all candidates including fee concession categories and this is not refundable. In the case candidates are modifying their communities from SC/ST to UR or OBC, they need to pay the difference in examination fee i.e. INR 250 in addition to the modification fee. In case candidates are switching from Ex.SM/PwBD/Female/Transgender to UR/OBC (NCL)/Non Ex.SM/Non PwBD/Male etc., they need to pay the difference in examination fee i.e. INR 250 in addition to the modification fee. The modification can be done for a maximum of two times only.

To get ready for the RRB Group D test, do the following:

1. Understand the Exam Pattern : Become acquainted with the syllabus and exam pattern. It consists of sections on general science, mathematics, general intelligence and reasoning, and general awareness.
2. Study Regularly: Set aside time each day to study, paying special attention to your weakest subjects.
3. Practice simulated examinations: To increase accuracy and speed, take frequent simulated examinations as well as question papers from prior years.
4. Refer to Good Study Materials: For thorough preparation, use suggested books and internet resources.
5. Remain Current: Read newspapers and internet portals to stay up to date on current events and general information.

UGC/AICTE approved undergraduate courses that are relatively short-term and beneficial for UPSC Civil Services preparation include:

Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science - Offers insights into governance, political theories, and public administration.

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) - Develops management skills and understanding of economic principles relevant to civil services.

Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Sociology - Provides knowledge of societal structures and issues, aiding in understanding social dynamics.

These courses can typically be completed in three years or less, depending on the institution and mode of study (regular or distance) .
