Honorary ranks in the Indian Army are special titles awarded to individuals as a mark of recognition for their exceptional service, contributions, or association with the military. Following are the types of such ranks:

Admissions at Institute of Advanced Studies, Kolkata are conducted based on the merit criteria. Students must appear for their prescribed qualifying exams and achieve valid scoring. IAS does not require any specific entrance-test like CUET, CLAT, etc. Students must clear their Higher Secondary exams with the valid scoring and the same must be presented at the time of admissions.
