WBCS is one of the toughest exams conducted in the state. West Bengal Civil Service Exam WBCS has three stages and the candidates are required to appear and clear all the stages of the exam. The final WBCS merit list is prepared based on the marks secured in the WBCS main exam written and interview. The WBCS prelims is a qualifying exam only and the marks secured in the prelim's exam are not considered for the final merit. The West Bengal Public Service Commission releases the marks and scores of the candidates who appeared in the WBCS exam. But such exam scores are released after the declaration of the final result. The Commission releases the marks and scores on its official website and the candidates will be required to log in with their credentials to download their marks and score. The candidates whose score is less than their category cutoff, will not be declared qualified in the prelims exam. On the contrary, if the candidates secure higher marks and are still not selected, they should immediately contact the Commission.
