For RBI Assistant Reasoning section, candidates must focus on Seating Arrangements, Syllogism, Coding-Decoding, etc. Candidates require sharp analytical and logical skills. This section is a part of both prelims and Mains exams. Candidates should practice every day and revise everything studied regularly. They should solve the previous years' question papers to know the type of questions in this section.

Students can focus on Simplification, Data Interpretation, Number Systems, Ratio and Proportion, Profit and Loss, Simple and Compound Interest, Sequence and Series etc. Candidates must solve a basic book for Mathematics and revise the topics again and again. They should attempt mock tests and analyse them properly to improve their score. Focus on easy set of topics such as DI, Quadratic Equations, Number Series, Approximations to improve the score. 

The important topics for RBI Assistant English are Fill in the Blanks, Rearrangement, Spotting Errors, Reading Comprehension and Synonyms, Antonyms for English. For this section, candidates must read newspapers every day to improve their vocabulary. Candidates must go through all the basic grammar. The syllabus for RBI Assistant prelims exam comprises topics from Reasoning, Numerical Ability and English. RBI Assistant prelims syllabus is given below: Numerical Ability: Data Interpretation, Number Series, Simplification/ Approximation, Quadratic Equations, Arithmetic Problems Reasoning Ability: Syllogism, Coding and Decoding, Alphanumeric Series, Blood Relations, Inequality, Puzzles, and Seating Arrangement, Miscellaneous English Language: Reading Comprehension, Cloze Test, Error Spotting, Para jumbles/Sentence, Rearrangement, Sentence Improvement, Fill in the blanks. The CBT of RRB Group D exam comprises four sections-General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning and General Awareness and Current Affairs. Total marks allotted to CBT are 100. Based on the marks obtained in CBT, candidates are called for PET. The PET is qualifying in nature. Those who qualify the PET are called for document verification. Final empanellment of candidates is done based on the performance in CBT subject to their qualifying the document verification and medical exam.
