Unfortunately, girls are not eligible to join NDA, in-spite of we woman getting in every stream and proving our-self, this discrimination is bad, but unfortunately we have to abide it. You cannot be appearing for NDA as girls are not allowed to get into defence after class 12th. However, the good part is that one can continue their dream to be a part of defense after graduation through various entries, which are as follows:
You can join OTA as an officer through CDSE entry. You can join IAF flying branch through SSC and AFCAT. You can be a ground officer in IAF through CET. If you do your graduation in engineering then you can have opportunity to move to technical field through EKT.

For DGS-approved courses viz DNS leading to degree(Applied Nautical Science), degree(Nautical Science), degree(Maritime Science) & B.Tech (Marine Engineering), there should not be any degree of squint or any morbid condition of eyes or of the eyelids that is liable to aggravate or recur, pressure of trachoma and iris complication sequel. Candidates must possess good binocular vision (Fusion faculty and a full field of vision in both eyes). Movement of the eyeballs must be full in all directions and the pupils should react normally to light and accommodation.
Candidates joining DNS, degree(Nautical Science) & degree (Maritime Science) degree course colour vision shall (unaided 1.0 (6/6) in better eye and 0.67 (6/9) in other eye. Normal Colour vision shall be tested by Ishihara test chart. In case of candidates joining B.Tech. (Marine Engineering) degree course, distance vision (unaided 0.5 (6/12) in each eye or 0.67 (6/9) in better eye and 0.33 (6/18) in other eye. Normal colour vision shall be tested by Ishihara test chart.

Except for NDA exam, You can get into Indian Defence Academy through following ways:
Through 10+2 B.Tech Entry: This is a new entry of Navy. SSB calls are made directly to male candidates having the 12th percentage above the cutoff percentage. Selected Candidates will be inducted as Cadets for four year B Tech course in Electronics & Communication or Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala Kerala. During the course, Cadets will be allotted Executive or Engineering including Naval Architect specialisation or Electrical Branch. On completion of the course, B Tech Degree will be awarded by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). Through CDSE: Male graduates who have B.Sc. With Physics & Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering can apply for Naval Academy (See CDSE Eligibility for details). The written exam consists of objective type paper having Maths, English and GK. The successful candidates of written exam are called for SSB and further for medicals. Other Graduate Entries: Through this graduates and final year students (Pre-final year sometimes for UES as well) can apply. There is no written test, the calls are directly made for SSB based on the cut-off percentage of the qualifying exam. There are many entries for all types of graduates in Indian Navy. However, you have to keep a watch on the advertisement of the applications in the newspapers.

To become a district magistrate, you have to appear for IAS exams. Once you clear UPSC civil service exam with a top rank, you will become an officer of Indian Administrative Services (IAS). IAS officer after one or two promotions becomes DM of a district. You will be promoted automatically to the post of DM. But, it is not possible for you to choose the district. Only you can choose the state while filling Mains form and if you manage to secure very high rank, then there are chances that you can get a state of your choice. In order to do well in the exam, you should follow these small tips that will help you attain your goals:
1. You must understand the importance of mock tests. You should make sure to practice at least 15 mock tests if you want to get a real hang of the exam. 1 or 2 tests just won't do the trick.
2. Look at previous years IAS question papers to comprehend how the actual exam is.
3. Revising at least thrice whatever you have read is essential for retention and assimilation. So minimize the sources, else it will be chaos at the end.
4. Read newspapers like The Hindu and The Indian Express.
5. Go through the NCERT books for reading about History, Geography and Civics.
6. Indian Economy by Ramesh Singh can be used to get an idea of various economic concepts and terms. Also, keeping up with the current affairs is important so keep reading the Budget, Economic Survey, Yojana, Kurukshetra etc.
7. For technology, Science, culture and environment studies, you can refer to current affairs books like Pratiyogita Darpan Magazine, Concise General Knowledge Manual- J K Chopra, Manorama yearbook.
8. Last but not the least, you must know the significance of time management and having a proper time table is of utmost importance. Coaching classes are not important as such if you can manage time and studies on your own.
