To become an IAS you must complete your Bachelor degree after 12th and in any discipline. IAS preparation is not limited to just one stream.

Certainly, you can become IRS officer after clearing the UPSC Civil Services Examination. The examination has three parts: Prelims, Mains & Interview. You have to qualify in all the three stages and come in the final merit list to get into the services. The choice of services such as IAS / IPS / IFS / IRS is taken once you clear the prelims stage and apply for mains examination.
