H. P. Government Dental College And Hospital, Shimla has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:
CoursesEligibility
MDSCandidate must have secured 50 percentile (40 in case of SC/ST/OBC, including PWD of SC/ST/OBC & 45 in case of UR PWD candidates) in NEET- MDS 2023.
BDSCandidate must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English individually and must have obtained mentioned percentage taken together in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology. In respect of PwBD candidates as per NMC and DCI Regulations, the minimum marks in the qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (or Botany & Zoology)/Biotechnology taken together shall be 40% instead of 50%.
Candidates who have passed Class 12 from Open School or as private candidates shall not be eligible to appear for theNational Eligibility Cum Entrance Test'. However, this has been a subject matter of challenge before the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi, Hon'ble High Court of Allahabad, Lucknow Bench, and Hon'ble High Court of Madhya Pradesh at Jabalpur
The lower age limit is 17 years on or before 31st Dec of the year of admission (born on or before 31.12.2006)
