All the undergraduate programs and the majority of the master's programs at Heidelberg University are offered in German. Therefore, international students are required to demonstrate their proficiency in the German language. However, master's programs offered in English do not require proof of proficiency in the German language. International students are advised to check the mode of instruction of the programme they are taking admission.
