As per the records last year cutoff in general category of B.Sc at IHM Bangalore was 2151. According to last year Rank vs Percentile comparison. If your percentile is 70 then your rank will ranges betweeen 1000 to 3000. If your are lucky enough you will get amission at IHM Bangalore for sure. If you belongs to anather category other than general then getting admission chances will be higher than before.

Yes, NIPS Hotel Management Institute, Kolkata is as good as NSHM Institute of Hotel & Tourism Management Kolkata. However, according to recent reviews NSHM Institute of Hotel & Tourism Management Kolkata ( out of 5 ) 4.7 for placements, 4.8 for infrastructure and campus crowd, 5 for faculty and 4.7 for placements, which are better than NIP. NSHM Institute of Hotel & Tourism Management Kolkata is graded "B" by NAAC. 

Taking placements into consideration, NIPS offeresd INR 14 LPA has highest salary package and INR 4 LPA as an average salary package, whilst, NSHM offered INR 7 LPA as the highest and INR 5 LPA as an average salary pack
