MAH HM CET 2023: The State Common Entrance Test Cell of Maharashtra has announced the exam dates of MAH HM CET 2023 on January 8. The exam for BHMCT will be held on April 20, 2023, and for MHMCT, it will be conducted on April 30, 2023. The application forms of MAH HMCT CET 2023 will be released anytime soon. What is MAH HM CET 2023?

MAH HM CET is elaborated as Maharashtra  Hotel Management Common Entrance Test. It is conducted by the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell. MAH HM CET is held for admission in UG and PG Hotel Management and Catering Technology (HMCT) course. The common entrance test for four-years UG HMCT course is called BHMCT CET, and for two-years PG HMCT course, it is called MHMCT CET.

MAH HM CET is a computer-based test, and is held in selected cities within Maharashtra State. Based on the scores of MAH HMCET, admission is granted in all Government Aided Institutes offering BHMCT CET/MHMCT CET/ Course and all Un-Aided MHMCT Institutes covered as per the Act. The admission is offered via a centralised admission process (CAP) held in online mode.

MAH HM CET 2023 Eligibility

To be able to apply for the entrance test, candidates must be eligible. The eligibility is verified at the time of counselling and admission. Hence, candidates must check their eligibility before filling the application form. 

Eligibility for MAH BHMCT CET 2023:

  • The candidate should be an Indian National.
  • Passed HSC or its equivalent examination.
  • Must have obtained at least 45% marks in aggregate (at least 40% marks in aggregate for backward class category, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disabilities candidates belonging to Maharashtra state only).

Eligibility for MAH MHMCT CET 2023:

  • The candidate should be an Indian National.
  • Passed Bachelor Degree in Hotel Management and Catering Technology from All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved institutions or its equivalent.
  • Must have obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate (at least 45% marks in aggregate for backward class category, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disabilities candidates belonging to Maharashtra state only).

The admission process for MAH HM CET 2023 is as follows:

MAH HM CET 2023 is to be conducted in the selected cities in Maharashtra State only. Each MAH HM CET test centre may have many "Venues" depending upon the number of candidates appearing at that centre. A candidate appearing for CET have to give their preference for the centre in the online application form. However, the Competent Authority reserves the right to allocate the centre and venue.

To prepare for this hotel management and catering technology entrance test, candidates must prepare well. The difficulty level of the exam is moderate and requires good preparation from the candidates’ end. We have thus given below some helpful preparation tips:

MAH HM CET 2023 Admit Card

All the candidates who complete the application process on time and correctly, will be issued MAH HM CET 2023 admit card. The MAH HM CET admit card is issued online only over the official website. To download the admit card, candidates require their application number and password. The admit card must be downloaded and on the day of the exam, it ts be carried as a printed copy. In the printed copy candidates have to paste their recent passport size photograph. Candidates have to hand over the MAH HM CET 2023 hall ticket to the invigilator.

On the day of the exam along with the MAH HM CET 2023 admit card, candidates must take any of the following ID with them:

  • Passport
  • Driving Licence
  • Voter’s Card
  • Bank Passbook with photograph
  • Valid recent Identity Card issued by a recognised College/University
  • Aadhaar Card with a photograph
  • Employee ID/Bar Council Identity card with photograph.

Note - Ration Card and Learner’s Driving License will NOT be accepted as valid ID proof.

In the hall ticket candidates can check the allotted exam centre address, reporting time, exam start and end time. Candidates must also check all the important instructions in the hall ticket regarding the exam and adhere to them until the exam is over.

MAH HM CET 2023 Result

The CET cell releases the result of MAH HM CET 2023 in the form of a PDF. In the result, PDF candidates can check the MAH HM CET 2023 score and percentile corresponding to their names. To check the result candidates have to visit the official website and find the result link. Candidates have to follow the result link and download the MAH HM CET 2023 result. After the result, in a few days, the CET cell starts the CAP registration. Candidates have to register for the CAP counselling and wait for the merit lists that bear the details of the allotted institute for admission.

The scores of MAH HMCT CET 2023 are being prepared on the basis of following formula: 

MAH HM CET 2023 Counselling

MAH HM CET 2023 counselling is held online where CET cell organises a centralised admission process (CAP). All candidates who have received their results, have to register for the CAP online and complete the document certifications online. Once that is done, the final merit list is released online. In the final merit list, the names of the candidates who have been allotted an institute are provided. Generally, 2 rounds of CAP is held. Before each round of CAP, the seats available for admission shall be published on the website.

These candidates are then required to complete the admission process. Such candidates shall report to the allotted institute and seek admission on the allotted seat. If such candidate does not report to the institute for confirmation of seat acceptance as per the method prescribed Competent Authority, their claim on the allotted seat shall stand forfeited automatically and the seat shall become available for fresh allotment.
