B.Sc. in hotel management is traditional graduation, not a full-fledged hotel management course. It is the part of B.Sc. But, BHM is a full-fledged course and it is specially designed for hotel management. Of course, BHM has better scope as after doing it you can work in service industry, tourism sector and even airlines. There are institutes like IIHM, LPU, Amity, IHM that offer world class practical knowledge to their students, both on the campus as well as off the campus. Some of these institutes offer scholarships too. Check their websites for more information.

JEE is the only gateway for premiere B.Tech institutes. For hotel management you need to take IIHM and different university level exams like BIT-Mesra, Bharti Vidyapeeth, etc.

IT definitely has more scope and opportunities now in comparison to hotel management. But, still, you must choose your profession based on your interests and not on market trends.

IHM, Pusa is the best option after NCHMCT, however, private colleges such as IIHM and UEI global are good too.

There is no fixed cut off.The cutoff are different every year, so you will have to wait for the cut-off anouncement. In general, the rank above less than 300 are considered to be good.
