I don't think you will get any decent college at 65 percentile. I suggest that you appear for CAT again and try to do better.
Here are two links that will give you detailed information about cutoffs and selection criteria. http://www.iimahd.ernet.in/programmes/admission-details/admission-procedure-for-pgp-2016-18-batch.html http://www.iimahd.ernet.in/users/admission/files/Shortlisting Criteria for PGP 2016-18 batch_110116.pdf

To get an admission to IIM, you will need to write CAT. Applications usually open in Jul-Aug and exams are held in November. Once the results are out, all the IIMs release the shortlist for interview and GD/WAT. If you do really well in that as well you are offered an admission. And before you ask, yes there are some points for work experience.

IIM Ahmedabad does not have a CAT percentile cutoff score. They have started a system of composite score where all the inputs like 10th marks, 12th marks, UG percentage, etc are used. Then an overall score cutoff is calculated. This method has certain advantages like, if you have not done really well in 10th or 12th, you can compensate that by doing really good in CAT.

IIM Bangalore gives more weightage to past academic performances + work experience and less weightage to CAT marks whereas IIM A&C gives high weightage to CAT marks only. So, you've got high chances with IIM A&C if you score well in CAT and medium chances with IIM Bangalore.
IIM Bangalore Final selection (66 Marks) = CAT (20) + X (15) + XII (10) + UG (15) + Work Experience (6). So, 30% of the weightage given to CAT and 70% weightage given to academics + work experience.

No. Work experience is not necessary either for appearing for CAT nor for admission. However IIMA encourages you to have work experience before joining. FOr the same they offer deferred admission, which means if you are accepted in 2017 then you can go work for two years and join back without taking CAT again.
In short: you can take CAT when you graduate.

I don't think you will get interview call from any college with this score. 36 percentile means that of the 2 lakh students that appeared for CAT, your rank was around 1.28 lakh. I would suggest that you prepare for CAT once again and appear for it. And this time try to get better score. Also please keep in mind that if you want other institutes(apart from IIMs) to accept CAT score, you will need to apply for those colleges as well.

Generally, IIMs do not go for 2nd lists for wat/pi calls. They already shortlist a large no. of people for the 1st stage itself. It is very rare that an IIM would release a second list and that too only the newer ones, if at all. Normally people don't leave once they are selected and IIMs keep enough buffer to fill out the sliding seats.
Would advise you to focus on other calls.
Best regards

Almost all old IIMs have already released their shortlist and I believe interviews for the same would start next week. So, if you haven't received call from any of the IIMs, I don't think you will receive any call from IIMs. Also for all other MBA colleges that accept CAT score, you need to apply before the results are out. If you have applied to other colleges, wait till they release the shortlist. However with this percentile you should expect calls from new IIMs.
