Dear Anshul,
When you speak about IIM then definitely it will be a respectful and rewarding career. As far as your package is concerned, I personally believe that you should first complete your graduation. Keep your scorecard excellent in the entire process. It is because your excellent scorecard will keep you ahead of others. The package actually depends on your negotiating capability with the employer at the time of interview. So, first be focused on your studies. I hope this would suffice. After PGDM from IIM, you will get job and salary of a fresher without any consideration or benefits of B.Sc Nautical Science degree. Your salary may vary between Rs 8 Lakhs to 18 Lakhs depending on your profile, specialization and from IIM you are graduating.

Hi,
IIMs prefer CAT marks. So give CAT and score above 90% aggregate, definitely you will be having a fair chance.

With your scores, you need to perform exceedingly well in CAT. You need to score 99+ percentile over all and 95+ percentile in the sections individually.

There is no job security in private sector if you pass out from IIMs also but you may get job easily as you have skills and abilities to prove yourself. Also if you are hard and smart working then no company will terminate you. Your job security is in your hands.

You must have to done your college with 50% for eligibility in IIMs, but as low as your academics you need to score much higher score in CAT for calls. Your 10th and 12th score will also be considered.

If you are trying for the IIMs, you can opt to the CAT and if you are looking for foreign colleges, you can go with GMAT.

If possible please give both the exams because your scores are very good. You can definitely get good colleges through CAT and GMAT. If you are looking for abroad studies then you should give GMAT also. If you are not interested in studying abroad then go for CAT only.
